Local Government
County boards of supervisors, city lobbying registration rules, the local ordinances your clients can't ignore, and the state laws that rewrite what cities and counties must do. Public records only β every name traces to an official or contemporary source.

A chair year shown next to a name is the year that title was confirmed β a chair without a year may be from an earlier rotation. Transitions list election winners who take office on a future date; the incumbent stays listed until then. Surnames-only entries mean the verification pass captured surnames only β never filled in from memory. Twelve counties are not yet covered; they're named, not stubbed.
City lobbying rules
Five major-city regimes. Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego are documented in full in the knowledge base (kb/local-lobbying.md); San Jose and Oakland are detailed here. City council rosters are a known gap β a verification pass is pending.
Key local actions
Local-government actions with compliance, permitting, or operational impact β each with the lobbyist's "so what."
